In fact, there are many gravel roads and trails in the area leading to more lakes like Roper, Wyse and Dominic Lakes.

The Highland Valley region enjoys a good number of fishing, camping, boating and canoeing lakes too. Leighton and Tunkwa Lakes in the Tunkwa Provincial Park located north of Logan Lake are the most recognized lakes in the area for fishing and boating. Both lakes are stocked with rainbow trout and trolling is the fishing technique of choice. Tunkwa Park has hosted the World Fly Fishing Championships in the past.

During the winter months in the valley, after the snow falls and the temperatures drop, the community of Logan Lake transforms itself into a winter wonderland. The community lake, in the centre of town, becomes a skating rink and the massive network of trails in the outlying regions become transportation routes for people who enjoy cross country skiing, snowshoeing, ice fishing and snowmobiling.
